Hi, I've just bought the Helios 300 2020 Model and have just been setting it up and while I was doing it, I've realised that my microphone on my headset was not working on my PC as I tested it on discord and other voice chat platforms. I don't know why as it my headset still works on my older PC and my console.
I would really appreciate it if you guys can help me out so I can use my microphone to talk to my friends while gaming.
Btw the built in mic is not working either.

Acer combined the internal mic and the headset mic under a single name. Tap your headset mic to see if the signal meter jumps.

Tried it but it still didn't work.
When i changed my headset option when plugging it in as a 'Mic in'. I tried recording my voice and I could hear what I was saying but I think it was the built in mic and I could only hear it when I put my mic in option back to headset.

I don't know what else to do as I need it to work like normal so that I can hear with my headset and talk with my mic that is in the headset.

I don't understand what you are saying.

You plug a headset (i.e. headphone with microphone) into your laptop, you set it as headset --- and it records sound. So there is nothing wrong with it.

My headset is a gaming headset, it has a mic with it so it also lets me speak and hear.

After plugging it in, I set it as a headset but the problem is the microphone of the headset is not working but I can still hear the audio.

When you plug a headset in, you set it as headset. You don't set it as mic-in.

    Mute button?

Yeah, I set it as a headset, but for some reason the mic still won't work.

Also I made sure it wasn't muted as it works on my other laptop.

When I tested it on my helios, the headset just made weird sounds from the mic but it works perfectly fine on my other pc so I think it's something to do with the drivers probably.

How would you determine that it was the internal mic recording sound?

Not really sure but I got it on both results.

I seem to be having the same issue.  Plug my headset in and choose headset just speakers work.  Choose it as a mic and the mic woks but no speakers.  Would love for it to work all together like it is suppose to.
