    I dont think so all the Triton 300 have this specific problem because if you search on Youtube there are no videos regarding this or even on Google. So some of the users of this particular model dont have this problem.

    Does the same problem occur when you change sata mode to ahci? To do this, enable safe boot on windows:

    Then, restart windows and uninstall the intel rapid storage driver and the driver related to optane memory in safe boot. Restart windows again and change sata mode to ahci (you may need to press ctrl + s to enable sata mode).
    Do you think fiddling with the storage settings will affect the touchpad hardware or touchpad performance? (Just a question for my curiosity)

    I purchased it from Flipkart. The first item I got had a dead pixels issue in display and I faced the touchpad issue in that. So I got it replaced with flipkart replacement policy. The new one's display is good but the touchpad issue there in this too. After this, I contacted acer and lodged a complaint. A few days later, a technician came at my home and replaced touchpad. But unfortunately this new touchpad also have the issue. Since there are some users who don't have this issue, I think we are with faulty touchpads. And some people got good (fixed by acer) touchpads.
     My bad luck was I ended up getting faulty item 3 times.

    So why dont you contact Acer and get your product repaired, this is something concerned with the manufacturing fault right? It is not happened due to mishandling of user or and user error. There, they said "it's impossible that there is an issue. Touchpads won't get such issue". Then he asked to show the issue. But, since this issue doesn't exists all the time, it worked fine for a min while technician testing it. And he argued that I brought a false complaint. I said many times that the issue comes after some time. But, he is not ready to respond any more. I understood that I came to noob and ***** technician. So, I left the service centre. From that moment I'm no more interested to contact.
    Since I found you, one more person who has same issue, let's we do something to fix this.

    Frankly I bought this laptop as a optional upgrade as my hinge on my 6 years old HP laptop broke due to my mishandling. It is i3 6th GEN with no Graphics and just 4 GB RAM and runs great for me. I pushed it alot for the games it could manage. Since the Triton 300 was delivered to me, I just used it hardly for 3 days. I tried my level best to fix everything but nothing worked. I've really lost the interest on this laptop completely. I switched back again to my HP, unfortunately it is no more portable and fortunately I'm going no where with this lockdown period running. But even if I carry Triton here and there it is stupidity to carry a mouse everytime. Whats the point of portability. I am just waiting Flipkart to reply and replace this device.

    Can someone please show some light on this issue?
    I did my all tries like, contacting Acer and a technician came and installed a new touchpad but the new one also have the same issue.
    I don't know if it's the hardware manufacturing issue or software issue.. I'm fed up with this.. is there any way to contact official technicians of Acer.. not the local technicians.. these guys don't even have as much knowledge as I have. I want to let the guy know about this issue who will make this issue solve. If that's not possible, I really hate this laptop. I willing to return it as I'm completely fed up with this issue. Someone tell me a way to return or to contact some experts of Acer.

    sdzshn3 unfortunately you will have to work with the acer local repair service center  engineers in your own country you can contact acer directly from your own country and raise a complaint about your issues that are still unresolved and keep pushing everyday for a solution thats the best you can do in my personal view and i completely understand your frustration but in any mass production environment there will always be some lemons in the basket

  • Do you know how to inform the technician replaced by another elantech touchpad or another synaptics? Also, despite being a risky and not recommended procedure, did the technician update the bios of your notebook to see if it solves the problem?

    He installed elantech model. Previous one is also the same. No, he didn't updated bios but I did. I keep my software, drivers, apps, bios up-to-date.

    I'm just curious whether the problem is with charging adapter.. Is it possible? Because i notice the issue more or only when i connect charging adapter.. to test this, i borrowed Nitro 5's adapter and currently testing with it. Is it ok to use other adapter? (output wattage is same for both)..
  • If both power adapters have the same wattage, identical ampere and voltage, there is no problem. When you connect the other power adapter, is the touchpad responsive immediately?

    Issue comes comes intermittently (unpredictable). It comes on its own wish 😂
    Sometimes, I don't see any issue all the day with my original adapter connected. Sometimes it comes right away after connecting my adapter.

    To tell you the answer, I have to test it several days.

    Then change the "enabled" subkey to 1:

  • Try setting the key to 0 and restart windows. If the problem persists, contact technical support again and ask the technician to install a synaptics touchpad to see if the same problem occurs.

    No luck. Still facing issue and in 2 months, my warranty is also going to void. 😟
    I regret buying this laptop..
