I have used two PT315-51 laptops.. One was my old one which had an issue and got replacement. I currently have the new one. Both of these laptops had unresponsive/ slow response track pad issue. The arrow cursor moves 1/2 sec late.. mouse point couldn't catch up with my finger movement. But this issues doesn't exists sometimes.. And also, if i close the lid and open again, track pad will become responsive again for some time. Touch to select also doesn't work sometimes.. I think there is some issue with the software. I tried installing drivers which are in acer drivers page. But windows says that best drivers already exists.. The drivers which are automatically got installed is ELAN I2C Filter Driver. How to solve it permanently and how to let acer know about this?

It didn't help.. My touch pad wasn't completely dead. It's just slow..

Post your touchpad's HWID (you can get it from Device Manager). Also tell me your touchpad's driver version.

Install this driver if you are on 1903: http://download.windowsupdate.com/d/msdownload/update/driver/drvs/2019/08/b874c06a-9ba1-4d7f-b322-1f7aaf2aefe0_c7950ec0b2bfbd2ad412223bd0790be894bf7830.cab. Use Device Manager's manual method to install this driver. If this driver doesn't work, you can always revert to previous driver.

    Installed it.
But, still mouse movement is slow sometimes..
If i don't touch the track pad for a while or close the lid and open again, it will become responsive again.

Strange issue. Tried Alt+F10 reset once? Also, is the trackpad set as Advanced in BIOS? What is your Windows 10 version number?

Is this the same driver available from your model's driver page in Acer Support?

I don't have an option for setting the trackpad to advanced in BIOS.
    I have Windows 10 version 1903.

The version which is in acer support is 13.6.14.1 and it was automatically installed through updates.
But from the link you gave, it was upgraded to 13.6.15.1

Was it working fine with 13.6.14.1?

I guess you should get it checked at the nearest Service Center. Before that, can you try a clean install of 1903 using ISO from Microsoft site? It may solve your issue. Just remember to create a recovery drive in case you wish to be back on Acer stock Windows 10 (although the service center will do just that).

Aren't Windows OS provided by acer and the OS downloaded from Microsoft site same?
I can clean install it. But, not sure it can solve the issue..
And i beleive this issue is in every Triton 300 laptops.. because the previous same laptop also has this issue.

Acer and other OEMs modify some parts of the OS like every mobile manufacturer does with Android. Do try. It would be a Hit or a Miss. And regarding your last statement, it is quite much possible sine another person had 4 issues on their Triton. Maybe let someone who knows about these issues comment here. Till then, try a clean install.

Since the start of today, haven't faced slow trackpad issue. May be it got set right. Have to test it for more time. If i face it again, I'll clean install OS.

Do one thing: Keep all drivers in some external drive and clean install Windows 10 without internet.
