OK. Good luck on getting rid of the AMD system. Weird that couldn't be made to see it. If it worked under ubuntu, I'd probably have kept it cuz I rarely use Windows anymore. And all the Windows-oriented software that  I still use, run fine under the wine overlay. Jack E/NJ

I had the same problem as yours, I couldn’t connect the dj controller to the entire laptop. It all ended with the fact that I bought a new laptop based on Intel and it worked. But over time, he wanted to replace the old dj controller with the new more modern Pioneer Pro DJ PLX-1000, it is a convenient vinyl player and was developed by the manufacturer taking into account the experience of experienced DJs. I made a choice with the help of tips https://bestdjkit.com/dj-controllers/

Thanks Ferbyy. I'm looking at new Pioneer stuff too. Issue is really now two fold on that front.
    1. I use Linux. Currently Manjaro.
    2. I prefer the open source DJ software MIXXX to anything else I've tried. And it's free.
There are very few controllers that work well with both. I may need to map the controller myself. A pain but doable.
    Thanks for the feedback tho.
