The CD drive was working fine. (proof): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzQ-16E-S08 (tried it 4th in a row and LED light lit up so it's was fine..)
But it wont detect in file explorer:

because i put a paper inside and i got it stuck so i'm trying to fix it and when i boot it, the drive B: (not a floppy drive) is not showing up on the explorer.exe
What is the problem?

this isn't normal, there should be DVD labeled in Disk management but nothing. I think this isn't normal either.0 -
k on the picture, i meant that the DVD drive is not showing up, because the DVD goes there to the first one..0

CD drive is COMPLETELY dead, i already took it out and investigate the problem, and i put it back just like a normal and it died..
I checked the wiring, there's no problem with that, cleaned the pins, and nothing, no signs of life. I think it's DEAD0 -

hmmm i dunno if a CD Drive is a Disk Drive or not?

>>>because i put a paper inside and i got it stuck>>>Device Manager has no red or yellow software driver warnings, This means that the software drivers for all the devices it detects and displays are working properly. Click on the View tab to make sure any hidden devices are also detected and displayed. If you still don't see the DVD tray, you can rest assured that it is indeed not detected. Why did you put paper on the tray? What part of the paper got stuck? Jack E/NJ

Before you click to open the "DVD/CDROM drives" folder in DeviceManager, is there a red warning? Jack E/NJ

it does not detect that it was plugged in
it's like it's dimmed
srsly0 -
>>>it's like it's dimmed>>>You mean like 'grayed' out? When you completely unplug the DVD tray, does DeviceManager still look the same dimmed or grayed? Jack E/NJ

Then it's either the ODD itself or its mainboard interface. Or it's the mainboard's interface with the ODD. Without testing equipment to determine which, you can either try to replace it with a new internal ROM (~$20) or burner (~$30) drive --- or --- install a caddy (~$10) and try to run a regular 2.5" HDD or SSD. New 1TB HDDs and 250GB SSDs are only around $30 these days. I'd go the caddy route because HDDs and SSDs are much faster, more reliable and hold hundreds if not thousands of more info than even a BluRay ODD disk. Jack E/NJ

oof, i decide to bring it to acer then before doing anything else
cuz i would have a chance to mess up the things inside.0 -
>>>cuz i would have a chance to mess up the things inside. >>>You can do it just fine. Usually easy to remove and install another ODD or HDD caddy. Remove one screw on the base cover and it slides right out. What's your full model number and I'll try to post a picture for you. Jack E/NJ

i already removed the screw through the ODD bracket0

OK. If you removed the correct screw from the bottom case like shown below, just slide the whole ODD out with your fingers. Don't be afraid. You need to pull it pretty hard with your fingers because it's plugged in to a connector with many contacts so there might be friction to overcome. Jack E/NJ
