My brand new laptop Predator helios 500 PH517-61 turns black when i installed 16gb ram module

    @sanjayraina_03   are you trying to install it with the already existing ram as they might not be compatible do not mix sodimms from different clocks/CL
    remove stock sodimm and try ne new on on both slots

    no i have tried on both slot its not working  but acer said that 16gb ddr4 sodimm is compitable with the acer predator helios 500

    Remove the RAM module from the laptop and turn the laptop on. Download HWiNFO and report the CAS latency and frequency of the RAM inside the laptop. I would like to send me a link or post the specs of the RAM that you purchased.
    Always post the following characterisitcs of the device:
    -Model number
    -Part number(not required, but helpful)
    -CPU
    -GPU
    -Operating system

    Helios 300 and Nitro 5 users DO NOT update the BIOS to version 1.22 if you don't want the keyboard's backlight to turn off after 30 seconds even when the device is plugged in.
