OK. Then let Windows search for the best nvidia display driver in Device Manager. Then test the FPS again. Jack E/NJ

Nothing seems to be working, I gave up.

Thank you for your help  I will just not use the laptop for some months until acer or windows rolls out a fix.

    Cheers,

Are you sure there were no FPS issues when you first acquired the machine in a factory fresh Win10 state? Because that's what the ALT+F10 method is supposed to return the machine to, a factory fresh Win10 state. If it doesn't work, then that likely means that either the hardware or BIOS firmware changed since you first got the machine. Did you perhaps try to update the BIOS firmware? What BIOS version number is on it now? Jack E/NJ

How to check the BIOS version?

    EDIT: BIOS version is 1.13

Perhaps, is there any benchmark I can do to determine if my GPU is not working well?

GPU benchmarks do indeed make it to 97-96% usage

http://prntscr.com/l999t3< Screenshots of GPU Usage during benchmarking, so that indicates that I don't have a GPU issue?

Seems like your game settings have changed somehow, not the hardware or drivers. Jack E/NJ

So I've got no issues with my hardware?
Then it must be a software issue.

Seems that way. How about choosing one specific app or example that shows low FPS/low GPU usage now, that had high FPS/high GPU usage before? Uninstall it. Then re-install. Let me know what you choose so we're working on the same thing. Without knowing from which app or example you're judging FPS and GPU usage now with what you had before, it's hard for me to help on this. Jack E/NJ

Alrighty, we can take Rainbow six siege.

    I've re-installed it again

and it used to have High FPS/GPU usage

    Used to have 120+
    Now 60-80 maximum

    Same settings preset.

Can you find the folder which has the main rainbow executable? It'll probably be buried somewhere in c:\programs\  Jack E/NJ

OK. Right click on the rainbow exe. Choose properties. Then compatibility. What options are available ***and***  already checked in settings for the display? Jack E/NJ

OK. Don't change anything yet. Start Rainbow again using that exe file, not a shortcut. Check FPS in the game again. Exit Rainbow.

Then select disable full screen optimization and save the settings for the exe file properties.  Start Rainbow again. Check FPS again in the exact same way.

FPS [Full screen opt off] : 60-50
FPS [Full screen opt on] 50-70

I really don't know where this is going, but would downgrading to windows 7 or 8 make things worse?

Thank you for your time, but I don't think this has a solution.
So I will give up on this and try to use it with the downgraded performance that is utterly disgusting lol.

I really appreciate your time thank you sir.
