Please can you tell me what you look for in the output so as to tell if my Aspire E5-575-50RM running intel i5-7200U with its motherboard supports pci bridge devices capable of a PCIe with nvme based SSD slot.
I see link width is x2 (not x4 ideally as advertised by SSD vendors ) and max speed is 8GT/s per lane in my above outputs. But apart from that what other keywords you are looking at.
I think i cannot get any other detailed PCI devices details other than "lspci -vv" for my linux distro.
if you be specific it helps me rather than waiting for linux expert.

OK, let us try something else, as your CPU supports NVMe SSD, most probably you can install successfully but I want to make sure to be on the safe side, remove the memory modules and look for your motherboard number, it starts with "DAZAA....and ends with REV: D or E and post here.
EDIT: Also use the NVMe command lines to find out whether it reports about the driver.

I am yet to hear from my local Acer service if i can open without getting my warranty void as it is a new laptop just 10+ days.
But anyway i got some more details on my laptop:
Laptop model : Aspire E5-575 (E5-575-50RM to be precise)
Model No: N16Q2
CPU is intel i5-7th gen (i5-7200U) as told earlier supports PCIe version 3 with upto 12 lanes but Acer motherboard vacant PCI bridge has only 2 lanes (x2 width).
If i don't get +ve from local support i would sacrifice that xtra 3times perf boost and would go for m.2 SATA or external SSD over USB3/type C.

It's OK, yes, there's not much noticeable difference between M.2 SATA drives and NVMe drives for day to day ordinary use, I think NVMe drives are better for a person who transfers large files/folders very often.

Also, I can't open the back window of my own laptop because the vendor has put a warranty seal on it.

Hi,
Yes, the recommended maximum capacity is 256GB but if you want you can put in a 500GB at your own risk, 99% it will work and others have done it, as for the sticker in the service hatch, you need to get a confirmation from Acer Support centre in your region.

i searched all day to find out wich m.2 ssd i could install into my e5-575g-56ks laptop. there is a m.2 sata 96gb kingston ssd installed already, bud i'd love to replace it with a samsung mz-v6e250bw wich is a 256gb nvme ssd. i downloaded HWINFO64 and it says pretty much the same as shown by pankajn (see attached file) except "slot implemented" says "no". would you please check if i can use the samsung ssd? chat and email support from acer germany don't work.

Hi,
Yes, you can use a NVMe SSD but the speed will be half of what Samsung advertises( still 3x the speed of SATA SSD), I have attached the snip of my BM as an example to show what kind of speed you will get.

I bought a NVMe SSD 960 EVO, to upgrade my Aspire VN7-571G. I did not know, that there might be some difficulties. I attached the drive to the m.2 slot, but it does not show in windows. Now i found this thread and i hope someone can tell me if i have to sell the drive again, or if there is a slight chance of getting it to work!Thanks in advance!!

From the other discussion i guess i could either buy a ssd for the m.2 slot with SATA technology, or replace my HDD with any 2.5 inch ssd that i find (or is there some technology that wont work?)

You can use a M.2 SATA SSD which will be fast enough for normal work or you can replace HDD with a larger 2.5" SSD.
