Hi, your NitroSense install is failing because it’s running on outdated platform firmware. The installer checks for specific EC firmware and BIOS version compatibility, and right now your system is still using BIOS version 2.13 or earlier. NitroSense version 3.01.3052_20230420 was released before Windows 11 24H2 came out, and the newer OS introduces significant changes to how power management and system calls are handled — especially with Modern Standby and ACPI compliance.

    To resolve the issue:

    • Update your BIOS to version 2.17, released in March 2025, using Acer's support tools. This version updates EC firmware and adds support flags needed for NitroSense.
    • Restart your machine after BIOS update, then attempt NitroSense installation again.
    • Make sure you’re using the correct NitroSense installer — older builds may not be fully signed for 24H2. If problems persist, check Acer’s support page for a newer NitroSense version released in mid-2025.

The “This computer is not supported” message doesn’t mean your device is incompatible — it means the firmware is outdated and the install script can’t verify system requirements. Flashing the latest BIOS and ensuring EC firmware is recognized should restore proper functionality.

Also, try the method below and see if it works for your Nitro 5 AN515-58, as this method works on my Nitro 5 AN515-56 laptop perfectly, but the below method does not work on all AN515-5x models. Good luck and hope this assist you further.

    1. Open > NitroSenseV3.1 folder
    2. Click the APPXBUNDLE File > then you should get the install window below, then click Install as it should start the installation process and work and NS will also associate with the keyboard key also.

Nitro Sense installation issues on Acer Nitro AN515-58 after a Windows 11 update often stem from compatibility issues with the installed version. To resolve this, ensure you have the correct, compatible version of Nitro Sense for your specific model and Windows 11. You may need to uninstall any existing Nitro Sense versions, download the latest version from Acer's support site, and potentially install an MSIX installer.

    Troubleshooting Steps:
Uninstall Existing Nitro Sense: Remove any previous versions of Nitro Sense from your system.
Download the Correct Version: Go to Acer's official support site and download the NitroSense installer specific to your AN515-58 model and Windows 11.
Install the .appxbundle (if applicable): Some users have found that installing the .appxbundle file first, if available, helps prepare the system for the main setup.
Run the Setup: After the .appxbundle (if applicable), or directly from the downloaded installer, run the setup.exe file.
Consider an MSIX Installer: If the standard setup doesn't work, search for an MSIX installer, as some users have reported success with this format.

Restart: After installation, restart your laptop to ensure all changes take effect.
Check for BIOS Updates: Ensure your BIOS is up to date, as some older BIOS versions might cause compatibility issues. You can usually find BIOS updates on the Acer support website as well.
Rebuild Windows Performance Counters: In some cases, rebuilding Windows performance counters might help.
Consider Workarounds: If the issue persists, you can try using Windows Game Mode to set games to high performance as a temporary workaround.
If problems persist, it may be necessary to wait for a future update from Acer that optimizes NitroSense for Windows 11, or to contact Acer support for further assistance.
