Please install the following files separately and restart the PC. You must install them manually!

Please download the file from the link below and run the .msi files inside the folder and install them. There is one in the main directory inside each folder. After installing all of them, restart the PC and let us know.

Notice; The above files are repacks of Official Amd FX 9830P Chipset drivers and the adrenaline interface has been disabled.

The biggest reason why the problems are not solvedis if someone who says there is a problem with the GPU says; If I change the case, will the problem be solved? That's the whole point! The concepts are different! We should not go off topic.

I see that there is no chipset driver on the Acer website. Please follow my previous answer.

Unfortunately the .MSI files all fail with errors such as "error 2721" or "package not compatible with the platform of windows you are running" (I am running windows 10 X64)

Please download and click the Visual C++ All in One package found here and wait until it automatically installs. After the process is finished, run the .msi files again. If it does not work, right click on the .inf files and click "install" and do this for all the .inf files you find. Let us know.

Download Visual C++ All in One

The .msi files still give error messages, I installed the first 2 .inf files successfully with confirmation, the next 3 ran but with no confirmation message and the last 2 gave an error message saying that the specified file could not be found

Please open your device manager and post a screenshot, I should see the ones that are not installed listed.

I currently have installed the OEM chipset drivers so there are no missing devices in device manager. I installed only the chipset drivers from the OEM install package, no display driver no catalyst control center. I then installed the 23.9.2 RX550 driver that you recommended, again driver only install. The R7 driver that is running is the one that windows update installed automatically. Whenever I try installing a newer R7 driver I get a black screen and windows fails to start on rebooting so I have to do a system restore to get back to running again

Please after restoring the computer, chipset then primary graphics card software (R7) I sent you and then install the secondary graphics card (external), let us know if there is a problem. If the problems persist, please take it to the nearest acer service or a computer repair center.

I have provided all the necessary procedures to you. Since it is a remote but limited situation, I cannot see how you are proceeding, is there something you have missed.

Thanks again I appreciate your assistance. It is very frustrating that there is no clear path to installing the correct drivers. The OEM drivers work but are outdated, using the newer RX550 driver I get a 15% boost in 3D performance, but I need updated chipset drivers to get things working in a stable manner. I will test the current configuration and see if it remains stable as it is working for now

I think I have finally found a working solution after much trial and error.
First install OEM VGA package but excluding catalyst and OEM profiles. Then from AMD website install latest FX9830P 22.6.1, driver only and WITHOUT factory reset. Then finally install the latest FX550 driver 25.5.1 from AMD, again driver only install no factory reset.
I have been playing games for the past 5 hours, used a screen sharing app and haven't had any problems. Also ran a performance test and got good results. By no means a fully extensive testing but more stable than what I have had up until now.
Very disappointing that Acer pumped out this laptop with a single driver in 2017 and then just abandoned it. Also disappointing that AMD auto detect packages install the wrong drivers, and there seems to be zero support for customers from either of them. Doesn't inspire confidence for future purchases from either manufacturer
