A hard reset consists of taking the back cover off then take the main battery out and disconnect the bios battery, short the +&- pins of the bios battery at the mainboard plug to reset CMOS, leave the laptop like that for about 5 min and reassemble everything as this resets the EC chips that governs the USB-C functions. See if this works.

Are you using only 1 adapter for the monitor and USB connection? Do you have any other adapter for testing?

This machine has two USB-C port which support PD charging, display output, and USB connection.

If you want to connect an external monitor to the USB-C ports on the left side, connect the monitor with a DP to USB-C cable with the DP lug connected to the monitor and the USB-C to the SFC16-43 port or you can connect to the HDMI 2.1 port.

This machine has two USB-C port which support PD charging, display output, and USB connection.

However, neither port has any function other than PD charging.

Is this a BIOS issue or a driver issue?

Other USB ports other than the USB-C port work fine.

    Thank you for helping me.

I know how to connect. connected and used it before.

I recently tried to use it again, but it was impossible.

All functions other than PD charging are not working.

    Thank you for helping me.

Have you got the last bios version 1.64 installed, as that bios "Updates EC version" as that should improve EC chip functions which commands the USB-C ports functions. As the USB-C is a type USB4 port and should work as a display port also. Otherwise do a hard reset and see if that resets the EC chip.

I've previously used it by connecting it to a monitor with a USB-C port.

When I recently tried to use it again, all features other than PD charging are not working.

    Thank you for helping me.

The bios version is already 1.64 version.
If you tell me how to do a hard reset, I will try it. Thank you.

If you remember the date the USB Display port was still working simply restore to a system restore point before that date. Type restore in the Windows Search bar and click on "Create a restore point" then click on System Restore with a date:

Note that if System Protection is disabled (Windows default 😑) you won't have restore points.

The USB-C ports of this laptop are really bad. Often the charging does not work anymore (I have a workaround for this).

In addition, right now I have the issue, that an external HD is not working with this laptop. Though, the HD works with another laptop.

I have such issues quite regularly and I do not want to open my laptop each time.😓
