I have an Aspire 5 A515-56 that has been having intermittent charging issues that have been getting worse over the past month. A quick search led to a post on this site that recommended updating bios to > 1.26. My bios version is 1.33. I have tried a couple different charging cords without success. What else can I do or is my year-old laptop in need of replacement?

Hi, this model is from October 2020, and the latest BIOS is version is 1.36 from 2024/04/18. if you bought the laptop in 2023 it will have a 4-year old battery by now and may need to be replaced, run a battery report: Paste this in the command prompt: powercfg /batteryreport and open the report with your Edge browser, right click and select "Print to Microsoft PDF", attach the report to your reply, type @Puraw or use "Quote" when you reply so I will get an alert. Also stop and disable Acer Care Center if you have that installed, in Windows Services click on accSvc and accAgentSvc and in Properties change Startup type to Disabled and click on Apply.
