So everything was fine these last few days, waking up the computer from sleep today, the monitor cycled through the four display ports and gave me the no signal message again. I shut the pc down and turned it on again about thirty seconds later and I got the signal no problem. Just tested putting the pc to sleep again and waking up and still no signal. So at least now I get signal after shutting the pc down but back to no signal after waking from sleep.

Did you remember to turn on System Protection in Control Panel's restore point app? If not, we might have to go thru the same autoscan procedure again at this link. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/

System Protection is on and I have 12.51 GB dedicated to it. Actually its using 12.51 but I have it set to use 4% or 37.23 GB.

OK. Do you see an automatic restore point with a date/time stamp from today or yesterday?

There are two restore points on the list. One for today at 3:30 pm and the other from Wednesday.

If you're sure it was working fine on Thurs and Fri, choose the Wed restore point. Also note what the restore point name was so it can be blocked in the future till the update is fixed. You will lose all personal files and manually installed apps since Wed so back them up.

If for some reason you're reluctant to reverse the update, than go back thru the nvidia autoscan again. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/

It's just weird to me that the monitor can't find a signal when waking up from sleep but its completely fine when turning the pc on after it was shut down. Also that it worked for a few days and randomly stopped working again. No driver or Microsoft updates to cause an issue, just strange.

That's because the PC doesn't seem to be outputting a signal after waking, only after rebooting. What were the restore point descriptions?

The restore point from Wednesday was an automatic one. The one from yesterday was installed Direct X, I believe from installing a game that uses Direct X, but the problem came back before I installed the game.

The automatic restore point is a Windows update. Scan for affected programs to see what it finds.

These are all the programs, the two not showing on the top list are the same xbox ones from the lower list. Tbh I don't know what the xbox driver updates are for, if I had to guess, for the controller I use to play elden ring.

Actually now that I think of it, that might be related to something I've been experiencing. Elden Ring is the only game I play that after I close the game out, my screen flickers black screen on and off, and somethings for a few seconds. I need to restart or shut down pc to get it to stop. Its also the only game I play where I use a controller, possibly related?

The more relevant changes are related to Edge. Edge can affect just about everything. If it was mine, I'd first attempt re-doing the nvidia scanner. If no joy & the sleep issue really bothered me, I'd rollback to Wed. The re-boot fix strongly suggests the problem resides at the video output end, not at the video input end.

    At this point, anything's possible.

I've read that sleep is better for the long term health of desktops and the components inside. Using shutdown instead of sleep isn't a big issue for me because the computer still starts up very quickly anyway. But at this point I kind of just want to solve it because its so strange and I already committed a decent amount of time trying to solve it. You have as well (which I really do appreciate), so for now I think I'll uninstall all the edge stuff because I use Chrome as my main browser and see what happens. Well I just realized I can only change Edge and not uninstall it.

AYE!!!! NO!!!! I didn't realize you were using Chrome. Chrome is a NO-NO is many PCs even though you might like it. Edge is a much better behaved cousin of the notorious Chrome browser --- a resource hungry bad actor. If you want to change browsers, I strongly suggest FireFox which doesn't mess with the Windows system files. Don't try to uninstall Edge cuz it's tightly woven with the Windows operating system. Just don't use Edge. And try to wean yourself off of Chrome pronto.

Haha ok, I used to use Firefox but switched to chrome because I have a gmail account I use everyday but I can start using Edge or Firefox again. I don't think its related to this problem though because I've used chrome for months now.

Try using FireFox anyway. I have gmail accounts too. No way I use either chrome or Edge. :)
