    I uninstalled both grayed out monitors and restarted. They both disappeared from list.

    Does the monitor power seem to shut off when you put PC to sleep? Does the monitor screen show 'no signal' when PC is sleeping?

    After the computer goes to sleep the monitor cycles through the four port slots DP1 DP2 HDMI 1 HDMI 2, then it says no signal and goes to sleep, light goes from blue to orange.

    It also does the same thing when I wake the computer up.

    With the PC still asleep, does pressing the monitor power button cause port cycling again?

    Yes it cycles through the four again then says no signal and goes to sleep.

    After pushing the monitor power button, how much time does it take for the no signal screen to appear?

    It stays on each port for about two seconds each then says no signal pretty much instantly after. No more than ten seconds.

    After waking the PC, does the monitor immediately act like you just pushed the monitor power button and the cycle starts again ending with no signal? Or does the monitor do nothing with the amber LED still lit?

    This past month when I would try it, the monitor would immediately wake up and start cycling and get no signal. I just tried it now and the screen turned green and pink, with big horizontal blocks of each for about 3-5 seconds and then the sign in screen appeared? Never had that happen, couldn’t get screenshot, it went away too quick.

    So I guess it worked but no idea what that screen tearing was.

    Press WIN+R. Enter 'msinfo32'. Expand components folder in left pane. Expand display folder. Please post screenshot including right pane if possible.

    Are these the same drivers as the game ready drivers from the Geforce experience app? I had it set to notify me when the newest drivers released and had the latest version installed. Are these different drivers?

    I suspect a Windows update, not an nvidia update, might've affected or corrupted your PC video drivers. Since it is  not an ACER PC, I cannot give you a 100% guarantee that it will resolve the issue. So I have no choice but to suggest that you let the nvidia website app scan your nvidia video card in your PC to see if it can recommend fix for the issue because the PC's video ports are not working properly and the ACER monitor seems to be working properly from the tests I've had you do.

    Thanks Jack, I really appreciate all the help and time you have given me this week. I put the pc to sleep last night and I will see if there are any problems when I wake it when I get home later today. If it’s a driver issue the one concern I have, is it possible my gpu is damaged or failing?

    I don't think the GPU is damaged because it seems to work OK after a cold re-boot. This strongly suggests a software or even a Windows system library file change issue, not hardware.

    Ok, I just woke the computer up and the monitor instantly went to the Windows home screen so it seems that the issue is solved for now! Thanks again Jack, if it happens again or any issues arise I'll report it.

    OK. Good. Thanks for reporting back on your success. Also make sure System Protection is turned on in Control Panel's restore point app. Also make sure there's enough drive space allocated for more restore points. I suspect another Windows update might try to mess the PC's GPU adapter up again or something else.
