I have Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop and I have been using this for 6 months. It was fine until when I try to play games , the fps drops suddenly for a while and goes back to normal 60 fps again. This has been happening for a while. And I dont know how to fix this. All my games are stored in an HDD (except for Forza Horizon 4, it's saved in local disk). Any suggestions on how to fix this?

These are the games where this happens while playing : -

-> F1 2020
-> Forza Horizon 4
-> Forza Motorsport
-> GTA IV
-> Project Cars 2

If you are thinking why I listed the games because there is one game in exception. And that is Minecraft.

    I not a genius on gaming but i can recommend you checking out these threads and see if anything there could help you with the issue as it has helped many people and it still does today:

    Threads and tips from other Acer Community users that might help you:

    Red-Sand ThrottleStop Undervolt Profiles Pre-Made — Acer Community

    If that does not help, my recommendation is to contact your local Acer support center to report it (find your country on the list and select the support tab on right hand side of Acer web, then find tab "Get Support" and click on that to select the contact support with a phone Icon): https://www.acer.com/worldwide/

    Good luck ;)

    1. Thermal throttling; check the temps
    2. 8 GB DDR4 SDRAM <-- check the hard disk and RAM usage - RAM at 90% usage combined with hard disk usage could mean frequent page swaps
