Hi!

I'm completely new/noobie on Acer. I just got a Predator Helios 300 and it's amazing but  I have some inqueries:

Following this thread: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/578370/tried-to-change-windows-10-product-key-to-pro-version-got-error-want-to-revert-back I realized that there is a Product Key for windows installed in the BIOS itself... What does this mean? Can I change or format to another OS without affecting anything? does this void some Guaranties? Would I still be on the "Acer Care" Program or does it get deleted?

Following this other https://us.answers.acer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2384/~/how-to-charge-and-care-for-your-acer-battery I want to take best care of the battery life... but this thread has some mixed instruccions... Do I need charge it to 100% from the beggining then use it till it runs out and do this 3 times? Is it best to switch between Performance and Battery optimization profiles?

What is the best use for the laptop? Do I need to buy some laptop coolers? or install some special software, configure something? what configuration would be best to use for productivity (design, editing, browsing)? And what would be best for Gaming?

Thanks!

ALXanderKODIAK check my signature for the video links from Hotel Hero youtube channel you have all kinds of guides there including windows optimization you can also check here to download TS ready undervolt confs for you cpu and after you can keep tweaking the profiles yourself until you achieve the best settings that suit you  depending on your model and if come pre undervolted on stock or not sometimes in some cases repaste its the only solution if this is the case i suggest kryonaut or similar in the case it can be opened without voiding the warranty if there are seals only acer repair center can repaste it another advice always use it on AC and with the battery 100% charged before you start any game or high intensive works as the battery main purpose its to help the adapter to provide enough power to the cpu/gpu when this one cant only use it on battery in emergency cases when you cant have access to a socket and for light work only and also calibrate your battery once every 3 months or so (discharge completely and recharge to full 3 times) to calibrate the cells because if the battery isnt properly calibrated in the long term will get faulty will have a huge wear as the cells will not hold the designed charge at this point it would have to be replaced for a new one anyway hope this helps :)

Also most important disable windows updates from updating your drivers/bios (lately teh updates have been causing serious issues to loads of devices and not only laptops) only update what you need when you need it manually you can also disable the updates completely if you want
