Hi Sebek, unfortunately there's not a fix but there's a workaround. You can go to this forum and read all about this current issue here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/mobile-gtx-1060-freeze-problem/93e7004a-62b1-4211-8e37-4c136608865e

The freeze issue is a well known issue that Microsoft needs to get their act together and fix. It is not a laptop's issue. Blame Microsoft. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/mobile-gtx-1060-freeze-problem/93e7004a-62b1-4211-8e37-4c136608865e

Hey Arek, did you ever get this resolved?
-
I saw someone had this issue and got it working by following the youtube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=9&v=na-PifWgpL4

If not of the above works, in the bios, try putting legacy mode. You will have to disable secure boot.
-
You may want to open up the laptop, unplug the battery. See if you can locate the cmos battery and take it out for about 1-2 minutes. Then put it back together.
-
Hi Proprorpro, it is normal for the battery to discharge a bit while it's plugged in. This mechanism helps to not overload the battery.

Have you tried a different game other than CSGO? If so, is the other game stuttering too?
-
Can you try to go to Nvidia setting, and make the CSGO to always use the discrete GPU (nvidia) and then test out the game.
-
That's pretty cool. I believe the max supported size is 32GB ram
-
Also, check your power options to utilize maximum power. It could be set to low or balance?
-
I honestly would just go to device manager and check for update on the intel graphics.
-
if updating the drivers and what not does not work, can you try the TrayPwrD3 method. I just want to see if enabling dgpu all the time will prevent the stuttering. This will help on what could be the problem.
-
I know this is not like a solution solution, but a troubleshooting workaround. Can you try this? Install TrayPwrD3. What it does is, it keeps the nvidia graphics to be on all the time. Try playing games with TrayPwrD3 active. You can easily disable TrayPwrD3 any time. https://github.com/jobeid/TrayPwrD3

You are a victim just like everyone else with a gaming rig that has dual graphics card. You are not alone. I am facing the same issue, and hoping Microsoft fixes it. check this forum out: Intel: https://communities.intel.com/thread/119093 Microsoft:…

ok, disable the Xbox DVR. Go to Windows setting > Game and disable the Game Bar, DVR, etc
-
I see, are you playing on battery or plugged in? I am also assuming you have all the drivers updated and bios as well?
-
Hi Anero, Are you using external monitor? If so, try disconnecting it for now to test and see if it stutters.
-
Other than your drivers and Windows 10 update to date, is your bios up to date? Do you have anything plugged in to the laptop? Usb stick, etc.. Are you using external monitor?
