Just a little update, the fan turns on after the cpu and/or gpu reach hot(ish?) temperatures, so if someone else encounters this problem and is about to lose his bananas, I think it's normal, just let it heat up a bit (or not, I don't know for sure). Not sure if this is intended or not, but it's really heart attack…

Haha, it's no problem at all! I still haven't bought a stick due to the lockdown so your "yes" is very helpful. Thank you!

I see. I don't mind throttled speeds but the Intel 660p 512 GB should work nicely with the A315-42G-R03V right?

Hello again, I saw in @egydiocoelho's screenshot/picture that the drive has pcie 3.0x2 interface. Does this laptop have a pcie 3.0x4 slot or 3.0x2?

Hello! I found this ssd: https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.ZMUw2 ...and I think it offers great specs for its price, and I'd like to hear your thoughts about it. Is it compatible for the laptop? Is it a good pick? PS: If you can't view the link it's an "Intel 660p series." More details on the link. Thanks!

Just to sum it all up:* I can install a 2400 MHz chip in the other slot, not just a 2666 MHz chip. * I can install up to 16 GB in the free slot, as long as it's not made especially for other brands. Does this mean I can install *all* of the (I don't know how to put this) general brands…

Hi! Thanks for the speedy reply. The seller mentioned there's another free RAM slot, just that one slot is occupied already and it's soldered shut. It also seems that my motherboard only allows up to 2400 MHz, can I snap in a 2400 MHz RAM chip (of any size and brand? not just 4 GB) instead of a 2666 MHz one? I appreciate…
