It looks like case of bad drivers. If you have system restore enabled (should be enabled by default), restore to a date before you connected the mouse and see if that helps.

As per product specs page, this laptop accepts only DDR4 RAM. System Memory Technology DDR4 SDRAM

Problem with this is security. Remember the age old desktops where taking out a 2032 battery (CMOS battery) reset the whole BIOS allowing users bypass any boot passwords. If i set boot password on my travel laptop, i wouldn't want anyone bypass that.

It could be because of high temps. Try limiting FPS to 60 and get a laptop cooler pad and see if that helps.

Does it connect outside of docking station (direct connection from laptop to monitor)? It could be an issue with docking station too. I have two hubs at home - both have HDMI - but only one transmits both sound and picture while the other transmits only picture.

If laptop heat is an item that could causing this from what you said, get a good laptop cooler to help alleviate the issue. A good cooling pad can effectively reduce the max temps by more than 10-15 degrees. Also change power plan from Performance to Balanced.

Doesn't 24H2 give an option to rollback to 23H2? I think it would allow that for like 30 days after any windows version upgrade.
