hello Gonzalo5 can you precise a bit your problem? does the laptop turn on correctly? if yes try to plug it to an external monitor(or tv) and see if you have video output.

ok so what pieces should i remove from the motherboard ?should I leave the cpu in socket because the socket is made out of plastic.

I cleaned the motherboard with a lot of alcohol and a special electronic cleaning chemical the computer started and turned off I even saw the windows logo so I think the mother board is not dead. And also now when I plug the charger, the battery led blinks so there is another problem

I dont think the mother board is dead because the computer turned on and I cleaned all the motherboard with isopropyl alcohol when I got the computer

Oh,while searching the old charger and battery I found the old keyboard of the machine and the keys are very sticky wich is a sign of liqid damage so i'm a bit worried about that because that mean the motherboard is probably dead(but it showed signs of life in the past so I don't now)

yes i still have the old battery and charger I tried and the machine is still not working

Ok the original 500gb hdd was failing(it was very slow in an another computer)and I replaced it with a 120gb ssd and even with it removed there is still no leds or any other sign.

I removed the two 2gb ddr3 modules and plugged the battery and charger in and still nothing,not one single led even after 10 minutes

no it stopped.

hello again ,i received the battery and the charger and still nothing ,the computer doesn't turn on, can it be a bios problem?

yes the battery has a date of september 2010 so it is the original one ,the charger is a replacement one because it is branded "HIPRO" and not acer(I didn't now that because it is not my computer)so i will buy a new battery, should I buy this one?…

ok,I already tried that yesterday and when I was randomly clicking the power button the laptop turned on very briefly(on battery) 5-10 seconds with the screen backlinght on,hard drive activity and blincking battery led and then turned off .it doesn't do it anymore so I really think my charger doesn't work and the battery…

I think my charger is faulty.

hello Jack E/NJ thank you for your reply ,it is not the battery led that blinks but the other led next to it ,with the small bulb logo.when I press the power button without the battery and with the charger plugged in, nothing happens but when I press the power button with the battery but without the charger it blinks 5…
