I guess the author was smoking something funny when writing the article, I have never heard, of Acer upgrading anything running Android.dans Android Oreo Update on some Acer smartphones - Info OR Intox ? Commentaire de desmond_maughan août 2018

Same problem, my E700 is so much better inlots of ways, than my X2. Wondering if any engineers codes might work, or stick a signal strength booster in my phone, if they acctually do anything?
-
I guess no answer from Acer support.
-
Yes, but not through Acer.
-
Probably eBay best place, seen screen kits for them.
-
No it doesn't have Gorilla glass, check the spec sheet.

Hi, How can I check my serial number supports 5GHz please? Thanks in advance
-
eBay, ensure batter is BAT-T10 version, and confirm it's genuine, and original OEM Acer manufactured one.

Hi all, It never has, or will be, only way to get one, is if you know somebody in the Philippines who will send it to you, that's how I got mine over a year ago. You can find them on eBay for £1,000, but it ain't worth it when it's only £160 to buy brand new etc. As for getting one now, no point, android version is way…

I would think its already End Of Life well by now, same as the original E700. So no OEM replacement covers, or support for it now.
-
Absolutely no sign of it in the UK, I guess I live in a backward country. As for buying it, it is well out of date in every way, as for support, none existant, as for genuine Acer covers, I doubt you can even get them, I would think the phone is already end of life. I have a E700, so talking from experience.

I would take it as 100% NO, when you buy any Acer product, they DONT provide updates for it. If you buy any Acer product, take it that what you see, and what you get, is all you will ever get. Only other way to upgrade your phone, is DIY.
-
Shane, I wouldn't have, best place is the bin. You are buying phones which are two android versions behind the latest android version.....
-
And never will be, along with Marshmallow, Nougat. Don't buy Acer, if you want upgrades, don't buy X2 already two andorid versions out of date.
-
As for upgrading to an X2, total waist of money, already two android versions out of date, and hardly available anywhere yet, except, Phillipines, USA, and Asia.
-
I doubt it will ever happen after speaking today with both Acer, and Google. Acer got the official versions of Lollipop 03/11/2014, Marshmallow 05/10/2015, and just a couple of days Nuggat. Nearly two years wait already for Lollipop, I was advised by Google, it appears the only way we can get it, is of the net, and do it…

I can't even see the point of wanting to buy it quiet honest, no upgrades available from Acer, and it is two versions of Android out of date, before you get the thing. Acers attitude appears to be what you see is what you get, and no upgrades. Shame really, I won't be buying Acer ever again, I suggest everyone else does…

I don't believe it is anymore than 32GB, and even that's if your lucky. I have had the phone for over a year now, and I have used 3 x 64GB branded, genuine cards, and one 32GB card, and everyone in the phone has either gone faulty or write protected, especially when you hit about 32GB on the 64GB cards. I have tried…

I think its to do with Stagefright to, my phone was running 1.025, and all CVS showing as vulnerable, now after running Zimperium stagefright detector app on the 3864 showing as vulnerable, rerun app couple of times, same result everytime. I remember reading the 3864 is a newly found variant of Stagefright, which they have…
