Well, according to the documentation I found, you should be able to upgrade to 16gb of ram (2 modules of 8gb each)... Take a look: http://files.acerbilder.com/product_sheets/nordic/1.%20Notebook/Acer%20TravelMate/TMP6/P653/Product%20Spec%20-%20NX.V7FED.006%20(TMP653-MG-53234G12Mtkk).pdf

Intenta dejando que la bateria se descargue completamente, y luego pon la laptop a cargar, para ver si asi se carga completa.

Sounds to me the cd's you're trying to use may be damaged, but if what you need is drivers, you can download them online.
-
Try the "wipe data/factory reset" and then reboot system now, let me know what happens after that.
-
what is the software you want to install? and what do you mean by A/V cd's?

Are you on windows 7, 8 or 10?
-
Did you already installed the latest camera drivers?
-
Select normal boot and the phone should restart and take you through the initial setup, like the first time you turned it on. By the way you can go back in the menu, using the "back" option, usually is the first or last one on the options list.
-
Also where did you download the BIOS update from, from here: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers if so do you know what's your BIOS version, because the latest is 1.5

Are you able to scroll through the options? using the volume keys I mean. Also, the camera key is the one you need to press for choosing any option on the recovery menu.
-
What's the furthest you get through the boot process? also, are you getting any error message on the screen?
-
Yes, but that's not the path to follow, just go ahead and repeat the process, start by powering the phone completely and get into recovery menu again, you should be good to go from there.
-
Once on that screen, you go to recovery mode and there you should have the option Wipe data / Factory reset, select that option and then scroll to the option that says "Yes - Delete all user data" or something similar.
-
Try the following: Once the phone is completely off, press and hold volume up + volume down key; without releasing the 2 volume keys, press the power key, once the phone starts to boot, go ahead and release the volume keys. Just make sure to hold steady volume keys, this can be hard to do the first time.
