I am quite disapointed with Acer on this topic. They do not appear to continue to provide firmware/driver updates. Even if everything is ok from a bug/ performance perspective, there are always security flaws to address.

Hello, Any luck? I've done exactly the same and now I have a "dead" disk. BIOS says it is Empty. Device manager cannot find it as well.
