EVGA 3090 FTW. I haven't found any settings for the DP in the Nvidia drivers. The monitor does not have any settings to adjust for deep sleep.
-
Never mind, it turns out the above fix did not really work. Same problem today.

This forum and Acer support are the worst that I have experienced. For anyone that comes around wondering how to fix this, there is a new setting in Windows 11 that you have to turn off. I am guessing that the latest builds of Windows 10 enabled this setting without the option to disable it. Turn off "remember window…

Same for me. Acer doesn't really support any of their products. I won't buy from them again because of this.

The XB273K is a buggy mess. I highly regret buying mine. It is a buggy mess just trying to get 144Hz mode to work. It is buggy when trying to get the settings in the OSD to work properly (overdrive should be unlocked, but isn't). It is buggy when trying to wake your computer up from sleep and now also buggy when trying to…

Another good reason to not buy from Acer.

The monitor is very finicky. You have to create the correct configuration to get 144Hz at 4K with 10 bit color. It really is goofy, but you'll eventually get it. Once you do, don't switch back or you will have to go through all the hassle again. Once a good DSC version comes out from another company, that is worth the…

I have this monitor and a Geforce 3090. Playing AC Valhalla at max settings (but, no AA, motion blur or depth of field) I get between 60 and 80 FPS. Most of the time that game runs in the 70 FPS range. I can use DLSS to get a solid 144Hz in games like Call of Duty: Cold War, but the image quality is degraded. What am I…

I used to have that monitor and the exact same issues. I swapped it out for the Alienware AW2721D and have had ZERO issues with the Alienware. It seems this issue plagues many of the AU Optronics displays (Acer's brand of panels). It's like they completely ignore any feedback around this issue. So, because of this, I am…

I ended up replacing my XB253Q GX with an Alienware AW2721D and can't be happier. I will probably stop buying Acer products from here on out. Here is why I replaced it: 1. All of these units have image retention issues. 2. The Gsync in this monitor is absolutely terrible, unusable. The overshoot is so bad on this monitor…

The issue appears to have something to do with the "super sharpness" setting. If I turn this setting to "off" the problem is REALLY bad and frequent. If I turn it to on, I haven't seen the issue yet. The problem now is that everything is "super sharp".
-
The pitiful part is that Acer's own forums cause the image retention issue to appear! Their own forums!
-
This needs to be seen. This issue is REALLY bad. It is doing this a lot now. This monitor is a lemon. I feel like I just threw money in the garbage with this monitor!

Bump....... The problem is still there. I got it to work once, but when I switched back to Gsync (it should be blacked out) and then back to non-Gsync (it should not be blacked out) the problem came back. I have until the end of January to return it. The lack of support from Acer makes me not want to do business with them…

The first sticky thread is for the X27, not the XB273K...

They are very different monitors. The GP (which I bought) uses 2 displayport cables to get 144Hz at 4K with 10 bit color. The P version supports only one DP cable, so if I remember correctly, you can't do 4k 144Hz and 10 bit all at the same time. BTW, there some reviews and forums that are talking about these monitors and…
-
What was your issue with 2 displayports? Do you have the XB273K GP? I have the GP and it doesn't support 4k 144Hz through HDMI.
-
One has a native Gsync module and the other (GP) doesn't. The links that the other poster threw out there do not capture the full differences between these monitors. Matter fact, Acer is almost misleading with their product descriptions.

Same laptop here, same frustrating problem.
-
Are there any Acer reps on this forum? How can I get help with this? No one seems to respond around here. This laptop is just past the warranty (of course) and this is frustrating for a 2000+ dollar laptop. I thought it was Gsync, but it did it again today without Gsync enabled.
