Yes it does, I installed the exact same model in my Helios 300 2018 PH317-52 and it works excelent.

If its totally broken I suggest to find a replacement fan (DFS541105FC0T DC28000JRF0 FJN 1), check if it is solved doing battery calibration by letting the laptop use all the battery and then charging to 100% without turning on the laptop. Holding the power button and then holding the pin button will help the laptop to release the residual electrostatic energy.

As the other comments said, it is fault of the electrostatic charge, my helios randomly shutts down, I recently tried this fix and it appears to work pretty well. I suggest to try it out.

The Acer Nitro has higher specs, which is rare, the Acer Nitro 5 2020 is the choice to go with.

Also, I checked the battery wear level again and it is in 9%. After a year of heavy duty I think it is a very good number.
