Was able to confirm that this was a hardware problem with the GPU, returned to bestbuy and re ordered straight from Acer. Got it a hell of a lot cheaper this way anyways so I guess it all works out lol

Update to this, Windows is disabling the GPU due to an error (code 43). Driver from 12/15/17 is installed, I’ve installed the newest one from 12/20 and it installs, pc restarts, and I’m left at the 12/15 driver again.

Yeah peocp, that’s the kind of craziness I was finding a lot of. It arrives on Thursday so I’ll know for sure soon enough haha

Thanks ven! I thought so but the spec sheets for different models sometimes brag about G sync and sometimes don’t mention it at all, makes it hard to trust haha.
