  • It's marked solved because the OP is saying the suggestion solved the issue for him. I also hope they add more functionality to the PS software, it has the potential to be a pretty nice OC / Management suit. Not sure why it's not working for you. I'll finish this reply later, just realized it's time to go home
  • Great! No problem at all, if I can help I will Have a good one and enjoy!
  • Yes, the fans will kick up once it's under a decent load. When I'm playing a game maxed out @ 2k, after about 15min I can hear my fan speeds start to rise to keep up with the cooling, then go back down when I'm done as it cools off. Of course you can mess with fan speeds with various apps, but I usually just leave mine at…
  • Uninstall Predator Sense and try reinstalling it. I know a few people have had to do that to get it working.
  • The way most CPU's are they will bounce around depending on the load. Mine does it as well, but if I'm in a game for awhile it will pretty much stay put to whatever speed mode I have it set to. If you are just browsing around with that open it will bounce a lot . I'm sure you can find something to keep the cpu from doing…
  • My system had the PNY 970 (US).
  • You need to update the software. Goto the Acer Care Center and you can see what updates are available, that should take care of it.
  • Honestly, that PC isn't overheating unless it's shutting off to cool down. ANY air cooled gaming centric PC you buy or build will get crazy hot while playing. There is no way around it sadly. You can get a watercooled PC but being a "noob" I would buy one pre built, but even then you have to manage the coolent / water from…
  • No problems at all. Again, gaming PC's (most in general) will get pretty toasty. When you are playing a game at max settings for awhile any video card cooler will get pretty loud unless you have a water cooled card. Your system will crank up the cooling as the temps start to climb, the option where you can turn them up is…
  • Hey thanks for getting back. Sorry to hear about the chemotherapy, I can imagine that's not an easy thing to deal with and I'm sorry that you have to. Hope you are doing well. I'm glad it's in a cooler room which will help but it does seem like something is causing the PC get really hot really fast. I play all of my games…
  • Yah I hear ya!! Yah it could be something right behind the ports or a loose connector on the mobo for that. Or, the wiring could have gone bad. Kinda hard to tell, but like I said, it can happen I have had a lot of cases over the years where the usb ports short out, stop working, work on and off and so on.
  • I just got done playing Rise of the Tomb Raider @ 2k max on "Faster" and my CPU temp is 40c and the System is 25c. CPU fan is 1440rpm and the System fan is 960rpm (all on Standard). I rarely have it on the turbo setting so I can't really speak for that. I normally just have it on Normal, but when I'm doing a bunch I kick…
  • The adapter for wifi & BT is small and you can easily see it plugged into the motherboard. It could have come loose in shipping at some point or something. If it is missing I'd get back to who you bought it from (or here) and see if someone can send it to you to install yourself (if you are comfortable doing that). It's…
  • I'd just pop the side open and follow the leads the best you can to see if anything looks loose. Sometimes the front USB ports on cases can go bad and or short out, this happens on ANY case. Do the headphone jacks up front work or no? Check that out because if they don't maybe the plate in the front of the case holding the…
  • No problem at all. When you get the ram back there you have to go in at an angle, but it will slide in. Take it easy.
  • Darn, hoped that was it No problem at all, just wish that worked for you. Let me know how that app works, I might check it out. I have a few programs that did the same thing to me since the last big W10 update and I still have yet to get them to work. Luckily it's not an important program haha. Good luck and take it easy!
  • Just buy the 2133 DDR ram with NO heatsinks on them, then wiggle them behind the cooler and you can snap them in. It takes a little work but I did it without having to take the fan off the CPU Heatsink. Have a good light shining in there because you will have to get a little creative on how to handle the ram haha, but it…
  • You don't have to run it overclocked all of the time, you don't really need it to run that fast all of the time. I play most of my games on max settings on standard and it plays them just fine. Air cooling can get pretty loud when you are going full bore for hours on end. Having said that, after playing a few games for an…
  • Where there any other changes made to your PC in that timeframe? As much as I love Windows 10 I have noticed some programs that I have messing up after updates and system file changes lately, it's annoying. Doing a restore doesn't take that long in all honesty and you can always un-do it, it can help trouble shoot. I…
  • Yah, that's what I noticed as well. No biggie, was just wondering was all. Thanks for looking though.
