Pred G3620 - Win 10 upgrade now USB 3 ports won't work

Since I upgraded to Windows 10 my USB 3.0 ports won't work (no data or power).  I've scoured the internet for Windows 10 drivers - nothing I can find from Acer for anything other than Win 8 (and still no USB drivers).  Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

    Disregard, it must be a cable inside.  The USB 3.0 ports on the rear of the case work fine, it's just the 2 on top.

    I'd just pop the side open and follow the leads the best you can to see if anything looks loose.  Sometimes the front USB ports on cases can go bad and or short out, this happens on ANY case.  Do the headphone jacks up front work or no?  Check that out because if they don't maybe the plate in the front of the case holding the ports is bad (and hopefully you can get a replacement or something).

     

    Worth checking into.

    Yeah, there are 4 USB ports (2 USB 2.0 ports and 2 USB 3.0 ports).  The USB 2.0 ports work, and the mic/speaker ports work, so I am sure it is a loose wire with the USB 3.0 ports on the front (top).  Thanks for the reassurance though... I'm a software guy, not a hardware guy so I get skittery on these minor issues sometimes Smiley Wink

    Yah I hear ya!!  Yah it could be something right behind the ports or a loose connector on the mobo for that.  Or, the wiring could have gone bad.  Kinda hard to tell, but like I said, it can happen Smiley Sad  I have had a lot of cases over the years where the usb ports short out, stop working, work on and off and so on.
