  • It happened to my W510 after update to Win 8.1 Checking "Allow the screen to auto-rotate" checkbox on Screen resolution dialog (right click on desktop -> Screen resolution) helped. Or -are you sure that you have not locked screen rotation (slider button next to the hardware power button on the top side of your W510)?
  • Current Intel drivers for Z2760 are not very good and besides problems with OpenGL, they do not support stretching lower resolutions to native 1366x768. Some users reported that DXGL (https://www.williamfeely.info/wiki/DXGL) worked for them so it might be worth a try. If you want to play older games, it is usually a good…
  • Unfortunately no news - even using the latest drivers from HP package (9.14.3.1142) still causes this problem...
  • Check this thread http://community.acer.com/t5/Tablets/Graphics-driver-for-W510/m-p/46875#M5026 - I have reported major artifacts in two OpenGL (probably) games.
  • I love playing Heroes 3 (http://www.gog.com/gamecard/heroes_of_might_and_magic_3_complete_edition) + Heroes 3 HD mod (https://sites.google.com/site/heroes3hd/) on my W510. I was also looking forward to Days of Wonder board games electronic remakes (http://www.daysofwonder.com/online/en/m44/steam/…

  • I've tried to unistall Intel Graphics driver and used Microsoft Basic Display Driver instead. The artifacts in OpenGL rendering were gone, everything was displayed properly - so this must be definitely a driver issue. However, I cannot stick with the MS Basic Driver since the overall graphics performance is ruined, even…
  • I am aware of the performance of the GPU. The problem is that the driver is not working properly. E.g., let's say I have a simple turn-based game - I don't need performance but I need it to be displayed correctly (albeit slow).
