Acer Iconia W510 has no full screen?

Hello. I bought a Iconia W510 for my university work. Its really great being removable for presentations and amazing battery life. However one thing I've found to be really annoying is that for classic games there isn't really a full screen mode.

What happens is the program starts off in windows mode. And if I force it into full screen, it remains in the window mode size but there is a black border all around it instead of the desktop.

I tried to search on info about this but most people recommend me to change the graphic settings , aspect ratio but the thing is my W510 does not have that setting. Anyone else experienced this, W510 users?

I'm not seeing any mention of the name of the program or what video resolutions that it supports.

If it does not support the native resolution of the W510, there's really not anything we can do.

Could you please clarify what specific application/game you are running?

What is the maximum resolution that it supports?

Tablet screen size is not great but the Intel GA is capable of 1920x1080 on an external monitor.

To change screen resolution just press a finger in an empty section of desktop and hold until a square appears then release. One selection should be "screen resolution".

The black bars probably appear because you tried to change the aspect ratio and the screen is doing its best to accomodate.

Current Intel drivers for Z2760 are not very good and besides problems with OpenGL, they do not support stretching lower resolutions to native 1366x768. Some users reported that DXGL (https://www.williamfeely.info/wiki/DXGL) worked for them so it might be worth a try.

If you want to play older games, it is usually a good idea to look for modern remakes/unofficial patches that support W510's native resolution (like OpenTTD, HoMaM 3 HD patch, OpenRA, Keeper FX, M.A.X. Gold, etc.)

Still, I am very disappointed that there are so many games in my GOG library that I cannot play on my W510 :-(
