  • update: I did some more digging and I think it might be a Microsoft issue rather than a problem with my laptop itself so far I’ve tried all the suggested solutions from that site with no luck. I’ll probably try the Microsoft community instead, but if anyone has any tips or suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it…
  • Update: Upon some further digging, I think it might be a Microsoft issue rather than my laptop itself So far I’ve tried all of the solutions suggested (if I was able to), but none of them have worked. If anyone has any tips or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!
  • Thanks for the response & link to the thread!! I do have a local account and so I checked out the provided thread, but I think I have a slightly different issue. It’s not that my password is getting “rejected” but it’s the fact that it says I “cannot sign in to my account” despite the system accepting my password, if that…
  • Hello, thank you for the battery part number! As a side update, I was finally able to check the battery and it was indeed quite swollen (spot-on analysis from you). I can’t be sure of my touchpad’s condition until I get a replacement battery in, but for now, everything seems okay (clicks are working!) Thank you so so much…
  • Hello, thank you for your response!! I haven’t been able to inspect my battery just yet, but it seems likely that it is swelling. I also greatly appreciate the fire warning - if I didn’t know any better, I probably would’ve continued to use my laptop plugged in. In the meantime, I’ve been searching for a replacement…
  • Thank you so much for all of your help! I followed your advice and it seems that the battery wear level is around 37% so I don't think the battery has to be replaced yet? Nonetheless, thank you for your time and I really appreciate all the help!!
  • Update: Apparently my laptop is back to normal??? 😭 This is super weird as I have been forced to use it while it charged at 0%, but I left it alone for maybe 30 minutes (?) and come back to it being charged at 100%. We'll see how long this lasts :')
  • I tried this again and it seems like my battery still isn't charging. Thank you for the advice, though!
  • I was really hoping this wasn't the case, as it has been relatively lightly used these past years :( Thank you anyways!
  • Thank you I have just checked it and it seems like there is an issue with the battery? I'm not too sure what 0mWh means, but nothing good I assume.
