Check if your files are corrupted. If they are, make a backup and get your hdd replaced asap. 

I guess your hdd died. The same thing once happened to me and it turned out that the hdd had just died. Buy a sdd, they are worth it.

Are you still in warranty? The warranty is often contradictory, saying that taking your pc apart will void the warranty but also saying that the warranty won't be voided if you upgrade your ram or cpu. If you want to upgrade your ram, the new ram stick must have the same specs as the old one, except for capacity, of course.

Do you have a ssd or a hdd? If you have a hdd, locate it and listen to it as you power on your laptop. If you hear something like a fast ticking sound that means that data is being read or written to the hdd. If you hear something like wind rushing by at high speed then it means that the hdd is on. You are stuck with the onboard. Unless you are willing to risk losing your motherboard as you will have to install over 20 more components on your motherboard including the gpu, ram, resistors and capacitors... likely it would have been cheaper to buy a laptop with dedicated graphics rather than buying one with onboard…

Did your old hdd had bad sectors? You might want to reinstall the drivers.

Do you want to say that your laptop's display doesn't work?

Try to do a factory reset. if that doesn't work then you might want to install linux or return it to the store.

have you read the bsod(blue screen of death)? what stop code does it give you? (like critical_process_died, etc) read the stop code and search for it online. it might also be a hard drive that is failing, specially if you have corrupted files or files that won't open or with the wrong filenames or filename extensions.

Use rufus to create a usb drive with a GPT partition, not an MBR one. otherwise it wont be recognized by the BIOS.

what do you mean with left hand display?

Have you tried taking your laptop apart and checking the ribbon cable that connects the touchpad to the motherboard? if its fine, your touchpad may be dead.

There are service manuals around, but you will likely not find them in the acer website.
