  • Go to desktop and in the charm hit settings and then control panel. In control panel hit device manager. In Device manager unistall the bluetooth devices. Restarting your computer now should automatically fix the issue. If not, post back.
  • Try holding the power key down for a long time - over a minute - that may turn it off.
  • You could spend ages trying to figure out what is wrong. Since there is no reason that the Pro version shouldn't work on this machine, I would recommend clearing everything off and reinstalling Pro again. This won't feel as rewarding as solving the problem, but it should work.
  • You are correct wouwout, these batteries don't require running down before charging fully again. However, most manufacterers recommend you do this once or twice when you first get them. I believe Acer does - somewhere in their documentation. Since the op is having a problem he should certainly try Acers recommendation…
  • I can't comment on the accuracy of "battery bar" but I do know that you have to run these batteries right down and the charge them fully a few times when you first get one. Did u do this?
  • I agree with Victoram. I can't hear my i5. I wonder if you have a problem - bad fan or something.
  • I initially had random bluetooth problems but went to device manager and deleted all of the bluetooth stuff then restarted. I believe its the bluetooth 214 drivers from microsoft that are rock solid.
  • The 8 hours was when I was researching something and was on the net all day - just research no programs. I also think bluetooth was off as that was when I was having trouble with drivers. Normal use is really about 7 hours now. Yes, I really think nothing is perfect. You buy something that matches your particular…
  • Ok, here is my perspective. 1. I also only have 64GB. I don't use a lot of programs but tons of data. I store my data on TB HD's that are attached to the dock or to 64GB's USB drives. Also, whatever the amount, you can delete a lot of bloatware. 2. I've only had it 3 weeks but the build quality looks excellent. It matches…
  • You are showing a Canadian site so I assume you are in Canada. The reason country location is important is because Acer offers different packages in different countries. I am also in Canada and asked Acer the same question that you did and got incomplete/incorrect information. The Canadian Acer site is also out of date…
  • Where did you buy your device? I know the contents vary per country but I would assume everyone would/should get windows 8 disks included as there isn't a recovery partition. I certainly got some with mine. Acer?
  • The firefox version for windows 8 has not yet been released. Stick to IE until they put Windows 8 support in firefox.
  • Also the slower i3 - the one with the GPU 3000 is an older Sandy Bridge processor while the i5 and the i3's with the GPU 4000 are the newer Ivy Bridge. I think most countries - except the US - have the slower i3 - so it may also depend on where you live as to the actual difference.
  • Windows will use some space for temp files etc. You can always delete these. However, Sopaj96 thats really wierd. I assume your Medal of Honor must still be on the W700. Did u try clearing out the Recycle bin!
  • In Canada the original tablet case has been replaced with a keyboard case. The keyboard is stuck to the case and the tablet snaps in so that it can be used as a carrying case for both keyboard and tablet. It also allows the tablet to stand up when you are using the keyboard. This case has been discussed here for awhile -…
  • I agree with you that it would make more sense if Acer communicated more on these forums. Unfortunately, this is probably the way of the future. I have purchased numerous Apple products and Apple was as bad. Problems would be discussed on their forums and they would never acknowledge them. Suddenly a new release would come…
  • In Canada it comes with the docking station, keyboard and new keyboard case. Just got mine today.
  • It makes a difference what country you buy your i3 in. In the US the i5 and the i3 both use Ivy Bridge processesors with the same HD 4000 GPU while in most other countries the i3 uses a Sandy Bridge processor that uses the HD 3000 GPU. I assume that one would not be as good as the i5 HD 4000.
  • LJH08, you are probably correct. However, the " Release Date" in Canada is listed as January 18th on most major Canadian sites, which has been put back from mid November. Mid-Januray is also supposed to be the date Acer makes the new Keyboard case available. Also, the American Best Buy site lists the keyboards so that's…
  • Thats possible he meant keyboard, dock. However, one retailer here confirms the numbered W700's that I meantioned do not include a dock. Thats why I asked Acer for a clarification.
