I disabled the mousepad using the fn + f7 key then placed the laptop in sleep mode. When I opened it again and reenabled it, its not working. Sad life.

Hopefully Acer Support can give us a permanent working solution. Even the Elantech drivers on their website are not recognize as compatible drivers. Hope our frustration ends soon.

Me too. All my previous working solutions also dont work anymore. I already tried lots of times and restarts, still nothing. Really tempted to Reformat my laptop, if only I didn't use it for work. Previosly, after it worked, when I let my laptop sleep, it will no longer work after I wake it. Frustrating.

While changing the boot order, did you input a security password on the bios? You need to do it before you can save the boot order priority. You can also delete the FAT32 library partition or boot manager partition on the old HDD so that it will no longer be recognized us a boot drive.

I've tested various cloning softwares, so far Macrium Reflect has the best and advanced features, specially, for free,

Looking at the picture, for the recovery to fit, you need to have at least 1024 mb of space. It isn't necessary to clone the recovery but it is advisable. You can manually shrink the Partition 1-Acer (D:) on the SSD by clicking on it and pressing the "Cloned Partition Properties" Button below it, look at my last repsonse…

Also, if all the necessary partition doesn't fit on the SSD, you can manually shrink the cloned partition so it would fit.

I also used Macrium Reflect when cloning my HDD to my SSD and made my SSD as boot. In the image below, the partitions boxed in red are the most important partions, specially 1 and 3. If when you bought it only came with an SSD, it would most likely need a hdd "adapter" to be able to use a 2.5" HDD. You would need to request one at Acer or buy one. There would also only be a single slot/space for a single 2.5" HDD. Any 2.5" HDD regardless of storage cpacity would most likely work with your laptop. Also,…
