How can I connect my Acer monitor to my MacBook?
Acer monitors are plug-and-play, and should automatically be detected when correctly connected to your Apple computer or MacBook. Connect your monitor to your Mac and power the monitor on. You may need to use an adapter if your Mac uses a Mini DisplayPort, Thunderbolt, Mini-DVI, or Micro-DVI connection, since most Acer monitors use VGA, HDMI, DVI or DisplayPort connections. Once the monitor is properly connected and powered on, it should automatically be recognized and display an image. If it is still not working, try some of the troubleshooting suggestions listed below.
- Check the connection between the monitor and Mac and restart the computer with the monitor connected.
- Try a different adapter if you are using one.
- Open up System Preferences on your Mac, click the Display Settings tab, then click Detect Display.
