How do I activate my Microsoft Office 365 subscription?
If your Acer computer came with a 1 year Office 365 subscription, you will have 6 months to activate it with Microsoft. You must sign into your computer with a Microsoft Account when activating Office 365. Your Office 365 subscription will be linked to this Microsoft account.
Use the following steps to activate your Office 365 subscription. Make sure your computer has internet access before attempting to activate Microsoft Office.
- Sign into your computer with a Microsoft account. You can create a Microsoft account if you do not have one and use it to login to your computer.
- Click on Start ⊞ or press the Windows key ⊞ to bring up the Start menu.
- Click the Microsoft Office tile, or click All Apps then select Microsoft Office from the App list. Do not select the Get Office app as this will prompt you to purchase a license.
- Select Activate.
- Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the activation process. If you are asked for a product key when you try to activate Office, your product may have only come with a trial version of Microsoft Office.
Note: If you have to reinstall Office, login to your MyAccount page, and then click Deactivate Install. After deactivating that installation, click Install. This will install your existing subscription of Office 365.
