What does TCO Certified mean and what does it mean for my Acer Chromebook or TravelMate notebook?
What does TCO Certified mean?
TCO Certified is a sustainability certification for IT products. TCO Certified devices adhere to the following:

What is TCO10?
TCO Certified, generation 10 (TCO10) is the latest version of the certification. It introduces even stricter requirements, such as:
- Repairability index: Each product model must have a repairability index to encourage easier repair and longer product life.
- Stricter anti-bribery requirements: This ensures ethical business practices throughout the supply chain.
- Extended warranty periods: Products must offer longer warranty periods to reduce electronic waste.
- Unique product identity: A two-dimensional barcode is required to track the product's lifecycle and facilitate recycling.
- Improved software updates: Manufacturers must provide regular software updates to enhance security and functionality.
For more information about TCO10, refer to the TCOCertified website.
