Can I set any port forwarding profiles for my Predator Connect W6 router?
Port forwarding allows external users to connect to Local Area Network (LAN) services using Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), File Transfer Protocols (FTP), and other protocols. To see which port forwarding profiles are supported by your Predator Connect W6 router, follow the steps below.
How to add port forwarding profiles to your Predator Connect W6
- Connect a LAN cable to any of the LAN ports of the Predator Connect W6 (or connect via Wi-Fi).
- Open an internet browser on your computer and type one of the following into the search bar of your browser:
- http://acerconnect.com
- 192.168.76.1
- Enter your Admin password.
When you login for the first time, you need to use the default admin password that can be found in a sticker on the bottom of the device. - Click on Log in.
- In the main menu on the left of the Predator Connect W6 dashboard, click on WAN.
- Then click on Port forwarding in the submenu on the right.
- In the Port forwarding section, click on the + icon on the right.
- On the right of Common services, click on the arrow to unfold the drop-down menu.
Here you can find the list of preconfigured common port forwarding profiles supported by your Predator Connect W6 router. - Select a port forwarding profile from the list, for instance FTP.
- Then click on Apply to confirm your selection.
