Does my Acer Predator Connect W6 support DD-WRT?
DD-WRT vs. OpenWRT
DD-WRT and OpenWRT are both popular third-party firmware options for wireless routers that provide powerful platforms for networking enthusiasts and professionals alike. However, OpenWRT is a more mature router firmware than DD-WRT with advanced features, a higher customization level, and better update availability.
No DD-WRT support
The Predator Connect W6 router uses OpenWRT because it provides better security than DD-WRT. It does not support DD-WRT as it lacks in update availability, which would make your router more vulnerable. Therefore, it is also not possible to upgrade the Predator Connect W6 router to support DD-WRT in any way.
