How to Transfer Photos or Videos From an iPhone to a Computer

If you are an iPhone user and want to transfer photos from your phone to your PC, this article is for you — it is easy to accomplish, and only requires a few simple steps. One thing to note, however, is that the photos you want to transfer will need to be located on the phone rather than in the Apple iCloud or another cloud storage platform like Google Photos, Dropbox, etc.

How to import photos and videos from an iPhone to a PC on Windows 10 and 11

First, connect your iPhone to your PC with a USB cable.
Next, make sure your phone is on and that it is unlocked. Your PC will not find your phone if it is locked.
Next, on your computer, select the Start button and then select Photos to open the Photos app.
Finally, select Import > From a USB device, then follow the instructions. You can pick the photos you want to import and select a destination on your PC to save them. The transfer time will correlate with the size of the transferred files, the bigger the file the longer the transfer time.
