What is the MIL-STD-810G standard drop test?

A MIL-STD-810G drop test is a test designed to examine the structural integrity of a product. A product is tested to simulate an event in which it is accidentally dropped, such as when they are removed from a shelf or dropped onto a hard surface while handling. For a device to pass the MIL-STD-810G standard drop test, the device still needs to function after being dropped.

Warning: Even if your device passed the drop test in controlled testing settings, your device could still get damaged and possibly not function anymore if you were to (accidentally) drop it yourself.
