How do I use the Predator Aethon 500 gaming keyboard?
Setting up your keyboard
- Plug the keyboard into your computer. Windows will automatically detect the keyboard and install the driver.
- Download the Predator gaming device integration Software.
- Double-click on PredatorGamingDeviceIntegration.exe to install the software.
- Launch the Predator gaming device integration software to customize your keyboard settings.
Changing profile names
Your Aethon keyboard comes with five default profiles. You can use the instructions below to rename the default profiles.
- Click the Start menu and select Predator gaming device integration to launch the software.
- Select Game profile management.
- Select the name of the profile that you want to change.
- Type your desired profile name in the box labeled Profile Name.
- Click Apply to save your changes.
Note: Clicking OK will save your changes and exit the software.
Recording macros on your Aethon 500
The Aethon 500 allows you to record macros for frequent or repetitive key sequences.
- Click the Start menu and select Predator gaming device integration to launch the software.
- Select Button from the left menu.
- On the keyboard image, select a number key that you want to apply the macro to. You can select any of the five keys shown in the red box below.
- Choose a macro from the Macro Selectdrop down menu, or type in a name for a new macro and click the + to add it to the list.
Choose a delay time. You can choose:
- Record - The actual delay from the user
- Fixed - A fixed delay time based on the number of ms entered.
- Ignore - No delay
- Click START to begin recording your Macro.
- Press each key you want to record in your Macro.
- Click STOP to end the recording.
- Choose your desired Playback Option, then click OK.
- Click Apply and OKto save your settings.
Note: Clicking OK without clicking Apply will exit the software without saving any changes.
Adjusting the keyboard backlight colors
The default backlight color on your Aethon 500 is blue. You can use the instructions below to change your keyboard backlight settings in Windows . Operating systems such as Linux may not support changing keyboard backlight colors.
- Click the Start menu and select Predator gaming device integration to launch the software.
- Select Lighting Effect from the left menu.
- Choose the mode you want to change. You can have up to 5 keyboard color modes (Game A, Game B, Game C, Game D and Game E)
- Choose your desired settings for each game mode, then click Apply to save your changes.
- Select Synchronize from the left menu.
- Choose your desired color (RGB), Pulsation and Brightness options, then click Apply to save the changes.
- You can now use the round P key at the top left of the keyboard to switch between lighting modes.
Adjusting the keyboard sensitivity
You can change the polling, repeat or delay rate for your mechanical keyboard.
- Click the Start menu and select Predator gaming device integration to launch the software.
- Select Sensitivity from the menu on the left.
- Adjust your settings for each of the following options.
- Polling Rate: How often the computer checks the keyboard for input. The higher the number the faster your keyboard will respond.
- Repeat rate: How fast your keyboard will repeat the same character when a key is held down.
- Repeat delay: How long a key must be held before the keyboard repeats the same character. The higher the number the longer it takes to repeat characters.
