How do I setup the webcam on my Acer monitor?
Some Acer monitors have a built-in USB webcam that allows you to easily record video or video conference with family, friends or other online gamers. If your monitor has a built-in camera, you should be able to visibly see the camera lens, and the monitor should include a USB cable in the box. Please follow the steps bellow to connect your monitor and webcam.
- Plug in your monitor and connect it to your computer using a VGA, HDMI, DVI or DisplayPort cable.
- Connect the USB cable to your monitor USB port and one of the USB ports on your computer. Windows will show a notification message and automatically detect and initialize the webcam.
- You can verify your webcam is working using the Windows camera app. If you do not have it installed, you can download it from the Microsoft store.
Note: If your webcam is not automatically detected, check our Acer Drivers and Manuals page to see if a webcam driver is available. If there is a driver listed for your model, install it and restart your system and check to see if the camera is working.
