How to connect a monitor with a built-in webcam

How do I setup the webcam on my Acer monitor?

Some Acer monitors have a built-in USB webcam that allows you to easily record video or video conference with family, friends or other online gamers. If your monitor has a built-in camera, you should be able to visibly see the camera lens, and the monitor should include a USB cable in the box. Please follow the steps bellow to connect your monitor and webcam.

Plug in your monitor and connect it to your computer using a VGA, HDMI, DVI or DisplayPort cable.
Connect the USB cable to your monitor USB port and one of the USB ports on your computer. Windows will show a notification message and automatically detect and initialize the webcam.
You can verify your webcam is working using the Windows camera app. If you do not have it installed, you can download it from the Microsoft store.

Note: If your webcam is not automatically detected, check our Acer Drivers and Manuals page to see if a webcam driver is available. If there is a driver listed for your model, install it and restart your system and check to see if the camera is working.
