We can understand the unit getting hot is not good for a 1 month old laptop but you can try to keep the laptop where the vents are not in a closed environment or you can also use a cooling pad for it.

    Hello @sameermundekar

The bottom of the your computer has a vent, which is supposed to exhale hot air, if you put your computer in sleep mode, that doesn't mean that the applications that run in background goes dormant, it might run depending upon the permission you set. The Hibernate mode is a total power saver mode, so that might have helped. Keep your notebook ventilated, by giving a gap between the surface of the desk and the bottom of your computer. Trying changing power settings from balanced to power saver. Hope this helps.

We are not sure how hot is the unit when the lid is closed, if you think its very hot like it can burn your finger than you need to call Acer support for it. check the below link to call Acer

try a small play around in sleep settings as its working fine in hibernate. go to power settings and adv options.

My guess is you have an app running that doesn't play well with the rest of the system, stopping it from going fully into sleep mode. Since it's not actually asleep but thinks it should be the fan handling is likely less than optimal. Figure out what app it is and either disable, remove it or find a way for it to correctly handle a sleep request.
