Yes I've read this as well.

What doesn't make sense is that the speed shift epp values increase in performance the closer they are to 0. 0 being max performance... so why would my other cores be inactive giving false readings?
Also why does my benchmarks improve instead of decline?

Im all about learning if im incorrect as all I did was set speed shift to 0 and walla OSD shows all at 3.6-3.8ghz.

Also, not sure what the unlocked BIOs has to do with this.. as I never said it did. 👍
Firestrike in general isn't something too demanding on the CPU. You will need games like The Witcher 3 to see the real stuff.

It does the same thing on every game.. Witcher 3 included.
Screenshot of TW3 and TS log file? Will ask a real nice answer from UncleWebb. I am very determinded to figure out what's wrong here. And also Firestrike scores.

TectNoob this thread its already old but its not allowed in this community discussing unlocked bios or any way to unlock/flash it the same goes to the user who opened the thread in first place  (HK1994

So if you or anyone alse are interested in doing it at your own risk (bare in mind you might brick the mobo permanently by doing so) please do it but outside the community google is your friend

    Dear fellow Predator users,
I am using an Acer Predator Helios 300 with an GTX 1060 and so far it has been a great experience.
However I have been intrigued by the idea of flashing a custom BIOS onto my laptop to explore and tweak advanced settings.
Some people have been successful at it,like @Red-Sand and a guy on Youtube.
Is it possible to do this and should I?
If it is,is there a guide for it?
    Thanks beforehand!

To be completely honest with you bro, once I unlocked the BIOs I haven't used a single feature of it lol.

Pretty much everything can be tweaked via software so there's no need.

What are you trying to do?
Can you provide us the mod file and steps so we can use it..needed it as ram speed is limited to 2400 and I have 32 gb 2666.not willing to waste the speed just because of bios limitation

There is no universal file, you need to make a dump of your own bios and ask someone to modify on specialized forum

And just to add that after it cant be flashed the normal way (this is not a procedure for the average user only for advanced users) but as i already stated this kind of discussion its not allowed on this community there are other places to do so

Btw why it is not allowed here? Is it a community rule or just your own personal idea?
Can you please point me to appropriate rule?  =)

This comes under the category of hacking/reverse engineering, and that's why things like this are not allowed. No one except Acer is allowed to do any such changes.

belik have you ever read the Acer Community User Agreement (ACUA) when you had registered your account ?? and no its not my personal idea :).

Its just not allowed in any way by Acer but if you have any doubts about it @Acer-Manny , @Acer-Karp, @Acer-Harvey, @Acer-Jose or any other member of the Acer staff team can explain the community user rules to you and what is or isnt allowed to do here if you havent read them already

Now regarding my personal view is that everyone should be forced to read and accept the community user agreement before they would be allowed to post/open any threads because if you would ask anyone if they had read them most will say they didnt even knew the thread existed or just completely ignored it

    ACUA

    1. Submitted Topics: The Acer Community is here to create a constructive, efficient, avenue for Acer customers and potential customers to find solutions and learn how to use Acer products efficiently. In most cases your additions to the Acer Community should be in the form of technical questions or technical based answers. Content which fails to enhance the collective technical knowledge of the Acer Community or submissions which could void the product warranty may be removed. Examples include but are not limited to the following:
      1. Acer policy or procedure discussions
      2. Acer corporate decisions or direction
      3. Future PC industry speculation
      4. Regional/Country variances in Acer policy or products offered.
      5. Petitions of any kind or sort
      6. Discussions of a litigious nature
      7. Discussions regarding Rooting or Unlocking devices

      1. Abide by the law: Do not submit content to the Acer community that could be construed as being the promotion to commit an illegal action.
      2. Do not aid, facilitate or promote in any way regarding “work arounds” of digital rights management software.
      3. All submissions to the Acer community must be your own work or work to which you own a license.
    2. Breach of the ACUA:

Failure to abide by the ACUA may lead to the removal or editing of your submission.  In extreme or repeated cases,  Acer may decide to temporarily or permanently delete your Community account and membership.  Acer reserves the right to delete any submission or take any action against an account or membership at any time, for any reason.

Yes youre right probably acer staff should remove some of the comments and lock it for future warnings of what not to post and yes undevolt will be done at bios level eve using TS or xtu but using those will not void warranty as the bios still on stock :)

Can you explain how you got those extra settings in your BIOS? I got them once and the next time I restarted the laptop, it was gone.
