I was getting temps of above 90⁰-95⁰ C and now I undervolted it to -0.155v cause even after cleaning my vents and fans I have the same temps....what to do now....after undervolting my temps are still 89⁰-92⁰C is it safe or not?

    Hi,
Could you please post the full model name of the laptop, which program you are using for undervolting?  Have you undervolted by-0.155v? If you have used TS, post the FIVR picture.

I am not familiar with XTU, I would suggest you try Throttlestop to undervolt and see whether it helps, please read these threads, you don't have to use the profiles but they will help you with the settings.

If you have AN715-51 (same model as mine, but mine is i7 and 1650), here is the thread I created on how i lowered temps from 90s to low 70s.

@sri369 my idle usage of cpu is 10-13% even when all applications are closed. And I undervolted it to -0.155v and limited the procesor to 3.8ghz(originally 4.1ghz) but still the temps are high in the 92-94⁰C range.....I play just apex legends and on this setting my max temp hit 96⁰C (I use low settings )
    My config are i5 9300h and 1660ti....

My fans and vents are perfectly clean but my GPU fan is slightly slower than my cpu....max cpu fan speed is 6122 rpm....but GPU is 5882 and sometimes goes to 6000...and I have got the stock thermal paste which I got it done a week back but still no drop even a. Degree

I see an issue already. Idle usage of 10-13% is VERY HIGH. That is much more than the CPU usage on my laptop while doing things like browsing. Below is the screenshot from Nitrosense from the last some time I spent on youtube watching videos.

There is something else going on in the background in your system and that needs to be looked into. Check under windows tasks. Check task manager for any processes.

@sri369 that's the problem no app in the background...I only have apex lengeds origin and 3ds max(designing software) and some CPUs like these apps I still get around 10-15% usage after quitting all tasks

Open task manager --> more details --> select processes --> sort by CPU usage desc, takes screenshot when idle. And post it.

Go to windows services and disable:
    1. windows search
    2. Sysmain
    3. Xbox/gamebar services - unless you need them.

That actually makes sense - since the UI needs to be rendered.

    On my box:
    Nitrosense in foreground

Nitrosense open, but minimized to task bar

I normally have it minimized to task bar when checking for something.

What I can suggest further is to get a laptop cooling pad (I have mine connected to my monitor, so its always on a cooling pad). This can help reduce temps. And 40-45 is a good temp without a cooling pad. For me when idle, with pad on, temps are normally around 35-40. So yours being another 5 is fine.

    Room temperature also matters.

Keep fans on auto, and turn on cool boost.

Did you look into this --> https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/627441/guide-thermal-throttling-on-nitro-7-model-an715-51-mitigation

I listed out all I did to get my temps from 90s (thermal throttling) to low 70s under heavy loads.

List and post screenshots of everything you did.

Also, while you do that, open task manager showing individual CPU information, and screenshot it (after keeping it open for atleast 5 minutes). Like below...
