Disconnect the battery again to see if that screen comes back on charger alone. This suggests that the battery might have an internal short. It's not unusual for the laptop not to work properly or to exhibit funky behavior on charger alone without a good battery connected. You may need a new battery. Jack E/NJ

It flashed on and right back off. I kept battery out. Should I replace battery and see if that works?

    >>> its hardly been used in that time. >>>

If it dropped below the 5% critical charge level during that time, then yes it's possible the battery is toast especially if fast boot was still enabled when it was shutdown. I suggest that you also check the voltage output between the charger plug's outer ring and its center contact with a multimeter. It should be about 19VDC. Jack E/NJ

If the battery is bad would it charge though to blue?  Just asking.

The steady blue LED only means it's charged up to its current maximum energy storage capacity, not necessarily its brand-new design capacity. For a for a fried battery possibly with an internal cell short, the current storage capacity could be near 0 Watt-hours, whereas its original design capacity might be over 6 Watt-hours. This is why the charger output voltage should also be checked. A shorted battery might cause the charger to overheat and start losing output voltage. Jack E/NJ

Ok. So tried it with old battery. Hooked up to another screen and now its working on the other screen. Not sure why it wasnt before. So now thinking it must be the screen correct? But also now the touch pad/mouse isnt working. Maybe i unhooked something?

    >>>I got this laptop barely over a year ago (so obv out of warranty barely) and its hardly been used in that time. Last night the screen just went black.>>>

The night the screen went black, was it running OK during the day. How about the day before. Two days before. I'm trying to get some idea on how much you've been using it immediately before the screen failed. A week, a few weeks, a month immediately before?  Jack E/NJ

I use it a few times a week. Was working fine that day. I plugged it into a TV thru an hdmi port to watch the fights on a big screen TV and it just went black. When I look in with a light now it looks kind of jacked up behind. Not sure how to describe it. Almost like it ran from the top. Can kinda see in the pics i posted. I can see that with the laptop off. It worked perfect up until that day.

I use it for a couple hours three times a week maybe. Sometimes more. Sometimes less. Its not used everyday for sure.

Did this black screen happen immediately  when you plugged in to the TV?

What do you mean by 'jacked up behind'? I'm not familiar with this phrase?

I have it all jacked up now. I was in bios and hit set to optimal defaults on exiting thinking that would help the touchpad and now it says theres an error and wont boot. I need to fix one thing at a time i guess.  I think i just made matters worse. No idea what to do now. This sucks.

Wait a minute. Do you see a BIOS menu screen!!!!!! If yes, then you don't have a black screen!!!!! You need to re-install Windows. If you're in the BIOS menu, click on the Main tab. Make sure the D2D option is enabled. Then press F10 to save settings and exit. Then press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds to shut the machine off. Then turn it back on again and IMMEDIATELY  press and hold the ALT key while tapping the F10 key. A recovery screen should appear to allow you to reset the machine to a Windows factory fresh condition. Jack E/NJ

No. I only have a BIOS screen on the external screen. I still have a black screen on the laptops screen. The laptop screen is still not working. If i restart and reinstall windows aint i going to lose all my stuff i have on my laptop? I have a ton of music programs for making music, plus my iTunes library, etc etc.  i changed something in bios and now i cant start i get that blue error. Cant even get into a safe mode. I screwed that up tryin to fix the touch pad.
