Predator G3-571(Helios 300) - brightness issue.

I recently purchased Predator G3-571(Helios 300) and I've very pleased with my purchase! Everything works like a dream!

However, I've noticed that the screen brightness will change based on what kind of image is being displayed, no matter what brightness level I've manually chosen. Bright images give me full screen brightness(at the specified level) and dim images result in my screen brightness reducing to a very low level. This isn't a particularly pressing issue - it's easy enough to ignore, but the fact that I can't change an option to prevent this is a special kind of annoying.

It's NOT adaptive brightness in that my laptop is sensing the ambient light and changing to better fit my environment. It's entirely dependent upon what is being displayed. I've combed through my power saving settings in the Control Panel(selected max performance while plugged in, ensure adaptive brightness settings were disabled). I've gone through all the available options in the nVidia Settings(there were none related to brightness). I've searched each and every option in my Intel Graphics Settings(The ones that were related to brightness were battery-use specific). Even after all of that, I haven't been able to find any options to alter this behavior.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I should mention that this question has been asked before on these forums, but there was no solution offered. Hopefully this time will be different!

It is the Power Saving feature in the Intel Control Panel. Disable the Enhanced Power Saving Mode for all 3 power plans and it should stop.

It looks like the plans are battery specific, but when you change the plan settings while under the 'On Battery' tab, it changes the settings of the performance plan under 'Plugged In.'

Other than that, there is no settings that changes your screen unless it is a third party application.

I appreciate the speedy response! I followed your instructions, and at first - it didn't work. I was worried I'd just have to get used to it, but I decided to double-check everything, and once I'd done that, I restarted my system... and it worked!

Thank you so much for your help! You saved me a lot of unnecessary frustration haha.

I cannot find that.  I launched the intel graphics command center and went to power savings, turned it off.  Nothing.

I get a somewhat dimmer screen like the other person, but my main is the white colors will dim to a blueish tint and then back.  I can't force it to replicate, but just after some time, all text boxes do this in all programs.  I'm baffled.
