Hello guys.. I have Triton 300 (PT315-51)
As u guys know it has total of 3 storage slots. (2×m.2 SSD + 2.5 inches slot)
It already have one WD Black nvme m.2 SSD which holds windows 10 as of now.
The HHD holds my personal data. I'm planning to buy Kingston nvme m.2 SSD and put that in available empty slot.
Now my question is, can Ubuntu be installed in that 2nd m.2 SSD? I want the boot like, I'll keep the 1st SSD as first priority for Windows. And if I want to boot Ubuntu I'll open boot menu and choose 2nd SSD.
Is this possible? I'm not sure whether Ubuntu is installable in nvme m.2 SSD or not. Please help me with this..

    It will work. Do it:
    a) Access windows, press windows + r and type msconfig. Go to system startup and activate safeboot.
    b) Then, go to the device manager. Uninstall and delete the driver for the sata ahci controller and restart windows.
    c) Then, access the bios, go to the main tab, press ctrl + s and change the sata mode to ahci.

Steps how to do. (Might be helpful if anybody want to do)

First, I turn on safe mode by going in msconfig. Then restart and boot to BIOS settings and change mode to AHCI. Then turn on laptop. Now laptop is expected to turn on normally in safe mode. Then turn off safe mode and restart. Now laptop will boot normally with AHCI mode.

Then, disable Secure boot in BIOS settings.

Then remove the SSD which has Windows OS and put new SSD.

Now, turn on laptop and go into boot menu. Choose the pendrive having ubuntu OS.

    Select Ubuntu.
When ubuntu logo appears with loading animation, remove pendrive and connect again (to skip live image not found issue)
    Then ubuntu will boot up.

    Select language and etc.
When it asks installation location, select erase disk and Install.
In next screen, select newly installed SSD. Then ubuntu will be installed. Remove pendrive only when it says. After installation complete, turn off laptop and connect the 1st SSD which has Windows.
Now in BIOS settings, set the default SSD which u prefer to boot automatically. In my case, I selected first SSD for windows. If u want to boot to Ubuntu, click F12 when Predator logo appears while booting and choose ubuntu.

Why to remove the Win SSD? Just install Linux on the second one and choose to boot Ubuntu first, GRUB is detecting other OSes (unlike the Win boot loader) and will give you a choice what to boot.

My requirement was to not have grub menu.
And, if i keep the windows SSD plugged in, there might be chances that Windows boot manager may also find Ubuntu.

Only if you edit the BCD manually and add the entry, there is no chance this to happen automatically.

I want the behaviour like, start windows by default without asking anything because, sometimes other people in my home also use my laptop. So I don't want to make them confuse.

And if I want to boot to Ubuntu, I just press F12 and select Ubuntu.

I achieved this behaviour without any problem.

I'm the original poster. I asked whether is it possible or not.
egydiocoelho said possible. So, I tried and succeeded. Also posted how I did because it might help if any other person wants to do the same.
