Hey, I have the Nitro N50-600 with the Nvidia GTX 1650 and 500w psu. I am looking to upgrade to a GXt 1060 but am unsure of whether my psu will be enough or if it will have the right pins free for it. as the 1650 is powered from the PCie slot. reason for upgrading is the current gpu is overheating and the fan does not seem to spin for some reason. I have looked at another users post and found a list of okay cards but am unsure if I will need to change power supply also. Any advice is welcomed thanks

First of all, check your Nvidia GTX 1650’s fan connections and see if there are any faults there, it’s very unusual that the fans don’t work, try and fix your Nvidia GTX 1650’s fans or get a water cooler for this card, as it will be cheaper and 100% better overall.

The Nvidia GTX 1060 is an inferior card and not as good as the Nvidia GTX 1650. The Nvidia GTX 1650 requires a 300W PS and the Nvidia GTX 1060 requires a 400W PS, so your 500W will be ok forboth.Your 500W PS will fit both cards and have the same pins.

I took the fan apart to check like you suggested and couldn't see anything wrong so I took the blades off the base to check the bearing and it looked a little gunky so I cleaned that off and it starts spinning for a second on start up but then stops, I tried some games on high to see if its temp related but it will occasionally try to spin with nothing more than a jiggle. if I press the centre of the blades a bit it also try to spin but only a little bit then comes to a complete stop.
